Bridge Enipea

One of the most famous arched bridges of the Ottoman period in the prefecture of Larissa is the large crossing bridge of the river Enipeas, built to the north of Farsala, on the road connecting Larissa with Domokos.

This bridge was first built in 1752 following an order by the then ottoman governor of Thessaly, Ahmet Ramit Pasha, and was a major technical work not only for his time but even up to a few decades ago as he bridged the main road connecting north to southern Greece.
